Scheduling & Cancellation Policy

We value your time and dedicate appointment slots specifically for each patient. 

Late cancellations leave gaps that cannot be filled.

We appreciate your understanding in helping us respect everyone’s time.

While we prefer Initial Evaluations in person, in certain situations, Telepsych will be permitted at the discretion of Riddle Psychiatry.


New Patient Cancellation & Scheduling Policy
To ensure appointment availability and reduce last-minute cancellations, the following policy applies to all New Patients scheduling an Initial Visit Appointment


Scheduling Requirement

  • A $25 non-refundable scheduling deposit is required to reserve an Initial Visit Appointment.
  • A valid credit card must be kept on file at the time of scheduling.
  • The $25 deposit can be applied toward the cost of the initial visit or future visits at the discretion of Riddle Psychiatry.


Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy


1. Cancellation Within 48 Business Hours
If a new patient cancels or reschedules within 48 business hours of the scheduled appointment:

  • A $150 late-cancel fee will be charged to the credit card on file.
  • An additional $150 non-refundable deposit will be required before the patient is rescheduled.
  • This $150 deposit can be applied toward the cost of the re-scheduled visit or future visits at the discretion of Riddle Psychiatry. Please note that this $150 deposit will be forfeited if patient cancels this appointment at any time or for any reason.
  • Unfortunately, no further reschedules are possible except under extenuating circumstances.


2. Cancellation Outside of 48 Business Hours
If a new patient cancels or reschedules more than 48 business hours before the appointment:

  • The $25 scheduling deposit will be forfeited.
  • An additional $150 non-refundable fee will be required prior to scheduling a new appointment.
  • This $150  deposit can be applied toward the cost of the re-scheduled visit or future visits at the discretion of Riddle Psychiatry. Please note that this $150 deposit will be forfeited if patient cancels this appointment at any time or for any reason. 
  • Unfortunately, no further reschedules are possible except under extenuating circumstances.


No-Show Policy

Failure to attend the scheduled appointment without notice will be treated as a cancellation within 48 business hours and subject to the $150 fee.

Agreement

By scheduling an Initial Visit Appointment, the patient acknowledges and agrees to this cancellation policy and authorizes the practice to charge the credit card on file in accordance with the terms above.
